I do not believe that ‘one-size-fits-all’ in therapy and, for this reason, I have completed many years of training in a range of modalities.  My aim is to use the therapeutic approaches that are best suited to help you. I am a registered HCPC psychologist and EMDR therapist (UK and Ireland EMDR Association).  I have full accreditation with the BABCP (for CBT) and the BACP (for Integrative Psychotherapy). I am also trained in RLT couple therapy. I work with adults, older adults and adolescents and also undertake supervision for trainee psychologists.

I use CBT and EMDR in my work for the NHS and in my private practice and have seen just how effective these approaches can be.  I also believe in the benefits of creative play, visualisation techniques and humour to gain insight and create change.  EMDR can be highly effective for addressing past traumas or phobias, while attachment-Informed EMDR can help address emotional issues that stem from childhood. RLT couple therapy is fairly directive and provides a ‘toolkit’ to help facilitate change.

In my personal and professional life, my aim is to be authentic, respectful, and kind.  I believe that all individuals have the potential for growth and change.   I see therapy as ‘teamwork’ where we work together, using cutting-edge psychological concepts and ways of thinking, in order to achieve mutually agreed goals and help overcome difficulties you may be going through.
