Diane Fanning

Diane Fanning, is a seasoned registered nurse professional with over three decades of experience.  She began her career in Germany, where she was born, raised, and educated.  Upon relocating to Canada in 1994, she obtained her Canadian Nurses registration and the Nurse Association Certification in peri-operative nursing and began working in the operating room.  She has also volunteered with the Operating Room Association of Canada. 

 

Throughout her career, she has had a true passion for helping people to overcome adversities.  Diane has worked in various areas in mental health, including addiction recovery, and rehabilitation.  She has worked in a day hospital setting, focussing on post-psychiatric inpatient rehabilitation, providing education, rehabilitation and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. 

 

Diane has a certification in Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention.  Her experience in problem-solving within the operating room has equipped her with valuable skills in interpersonal communication and decision-making.  She took care of the mental health wellness of the team and patients, in very difficult situations, which has was an invaluable experience.  Diane is currently enrolled on a qualifying CBT programme.  

 

Diane’s goal is to provide the highest quality of care to all her clients with empathy, understanding, and kindness.  Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, watercolour painting, and spending time with her children.
